Parkinson’s disease (PD) and related conditions are neurologic disorders characterized by a deficiency in dopamine production in the mid brain and appearance of so called Lewy bodies. Besides well-known motor symptoms such as tremor and bradykinesia, non-motor symptoms have recently gained more attention. Among these, bladder and bowel issues are very common, yet under-recognized and poorly addressed despite their strong correlation with impaired quality of life.
